Decatur County officials announced that a new mass notification platform—'Decatur County Notify'—is scheduled to go live on Sept. 12, 2026. Officials warned that residents previously registered with the 'Code Red' system will need to re-register to receive alerts through the new platform. Informational flyers and a media release are being prepared to support outreach and re-enrollment.
