County launches Notify Now system; READI spending and chamber events highlighted
Decatur County activated its Notify Now emergency-notification system, enrolling more than 600 people in the first week; county staff also reported READI Two has spent about half its funds and promoted upcoming Chamber ribbon-cuttings and outreach events.

Decatur County officials said the county's Notify Now emergency-notification system is active and that more than 600 people enrolled during its first week. Residents who were registered with the outgoing Code Red system must re-register for Notify Now; Code Red will remain briefly while it is deactivated in the near term. Officials also reported that radius mapping work has begun for the county's new 911 mapping system to integrate with Vesta 911.
