Commission approves first reading to establish parking-variance procedure
On first reading the Commission approved Ordinance 26-964 to amend Sec. 90-5 and establish a formal procedure to request variances for parking-related regulations including access points, stall standards and parking ratios.

City Attorney Pamela Cichone read Ordinance 26-964 into the record. City Planner Ashley Austin presented the text amendment and said it "establish[es] a procedure for requesting variances from parking-related regulations, including access points, parking stall standards, and parking ratios." Commissioners noted the amendment follows Planning and Zoning Board review, particularly regarding driveway access on corner parcels along Gulf Drive. The Commission approved the first reading 5-0.
