Kersey adopts 2024 International Fire Code to align with building code
On Sept. 8 the Kersey Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance 2026-0010 on second reading to implement the 2024 International Fire Code, updating local enforcement to better align with the town's building code. The vote was 4-0.

The Kersey Board of Trustees on Sept. 8 approved Ordinance 2026-0010, adopting the 2024 International Fire Code and providing for its enforcement. Town Engineer Gene MacDonald introduced the item during the public hearing and Mayor Nathan Roth read the ordinance aloud before the Board voted 4-0 to approve it on second reading.
