At a public hearing Oct. 20, 2026, Lincoln County planners read the staff report for File #2026-R6, a rezoning request from Curt Washburn for a roughly 1 (+/-) acre parcel at 12 Old Huntsville Rd. The application asks to change zoning from A-1 (Agriculture and Rural Residential) to C-1 (General Commercial) to continue using the land as a commercial car lot; the staff report states the property has operated commercially but was never rezoned when the county adopted zoning in 2014.
