Columbus City Council voted to approve the FY27 indigent defense services contract between the Circuit Public Defender Office of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit and Muscogee County covering July 2026 through June 2027 at a total of $2,826,718. The agenda records that monthly payments of $161,603.04 to the Georgia Public Defender Council are authorized; the monthly amount includes $1,846,892 for personnel services and a $92,345 administrative fee (5%).
