Committee broadens 'motor vehicle' definition to include future technologies
Members amended ordinance language to read 'shall include but not be limited to' when defining motor vehicles, keeping the list (cars, trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles) open to cover e-scooters and other powered devices.

The committee revised the motor-vehicle definition to remove language that might unintentionally exclude newer powered devices. Members changed "shall include but be limited to" to "shall include but not be limited to" to keep the definition open-ended. "Shall include but not be limited to car, truck, all terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, and the like" was the result of the motion to preserve future technologies in the definition.
