Representatives for First Baptist Church requested permission to hold a public hearing to create a two‑lot subdivision behind a house they have acquired on North Colfax Avenue. Attorney Sterling explained the church’s plan to carve an approximate 80‑by‑80‑foot lot to be used for green space and activities behind the existing home and church property; the commission voted to grant permission to advertise the hearing.
