Board restricts DATCP Agent program revenue to Environmental Health uses

May 18, 2026

Jackson County adopted a resolution directing all DATCP Agent program fee revenue to a designated Environmental Health fund and restricting it for program costs only; staff must document costs for audits and excess funds must be carried forward in a restricted balance.

The full story

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously by voice vote on May 18 to direct that all revenue collected through the DATCP Agent program — including license fees, pre-inspection fees and reinspection fees — be deposited into a designated Environmental Health program fund and restricted for costs associated with the program. The action is intended to ensure compliance with the Memorandum of Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and to support program cost recovery and audit transparency.
