The long-range planning committee reported facilities work and procurement schedules: an RFP for Annex windows and exterior work will be published Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, 2026, with proposals due Sept. 11. Commissioners heard that the Community Building has hosted events since Feb. 2026 with bookings into 2028 but faces operational issues including noisy fans, blown circuits in the food-prep area, poor cooling drainage, and the need for a podium and AEDs.
