Highway staff reported progress on a battery storage project near State Road 3: the intersection widening work is finished, and crews are coordinating deliveries and temporary measures ("bridge jumpers") to accommodate battery containers. Staff estimated the first unit would be placed during the week of Aug. 17, 2026, and that additional container deliveries were expected every 10–12 days.
