Parks division outlines pavilion upgrades and upcoming Traps West Rodeo and workshop
Parks staff reported installation of grills and picnic amenities at several pavilions, relocation of public art and a memorial bench, storm‑repair work done in‑house, and announced the Traps West Region Rodeo on Oct. 28 at Festival Gardens and an accompanying workshop Oct. 29 at MCM El Gigante.

Parks division manager Jesus Coronado reported out on recent and planned parks improvements, saying new barbecue grills have been installed at the Sears, Valentine and Nelson Wilson pavilions, and that staff relocated a public art sculpture and installed a memorial bench at Nelson Park. Coronado said staff completed storm repairs in‑house rather than contracting the work.
