Committee approves EMT tuition reimbursements for four local members

The Alpena County Courts and Public Safety Committee voted to approve reimbursement for four local emergency medical technicians under an existing tuition program. An EMS official said the program, first approved on Aug. 18, 2025, provides $1,000 per member to those who complete EMT training and obtain licensure, and that the four eligible recipients include one from Sanborn, one from Alpena Township and two from Green.
