The Planning Commission voted to recommend draft language to the Board of County Commissioners that would consolidate definitions of "family" and "single-family residence" in Nye County Code and align the county's approach with current Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS). Staff presented the draft as a cleanup and said it explicitly references applicable state law so the county's code will track future state changes.
