Chairman Karen Potteiger summarized notes from a 2003 fire study and urged the board to consider transparency, accountability, and financial feasibility when responding to the fire company’s request for increased contributions. The board agreed that given the scale of the requested contribution, a new fire study is warranted and voted unanimously to move forward with commissioning the study.
