Board approves budget amendment and five contingency paraprofessional positions

The board approved Budget Amendment No. 1 for fiscal year 2027, an expenses-only amendment that pulls rollover items from the previous fiscal year, covers increased diesel costs and funds new part-time elementary administrative support. District staff explained that roughly $185,000 of the $299,000 amendment are for new items and the remainder are rollovers that were ordered but received after the fiscal-year cutoff.
