During the parking-code discussion staff recommended referencing Washington State Building Code (WAC/WA code) requirements for electric-vehicle readiness and charging rather than publishing technical requirements directly in the local ordinance. Staff argued that the state rules change frequently and a hyperlink/reference in the code will keep local guidance current.
