Justin Snow, who identified himself as president and CEO of the organization included in the commission packet, gave the commission a multi-part economic development update. He said the Roane County Industrial Development Board is pursuing the purchase of a 120-acre site on Buttermilk Road adjacent to the regional business and technology park, with purchase-and-sale agreements signed and environmental due diligence underway; the goal is to close shortly after the start of the calendar year.
