The Newaygo County Board of Commissioners conducted interviews for several advisory-board vacancies. The board interviewed Phil Smalligan for one of two 2-year terms on the Central Dispatch Authority Board (terms expiring Sept. 30, 2028); the minutes record Smalligan as retired from the county 911 director role and with 32 years' experience at the Fremont Fire Department. Jon Patterson was listed as unable to attend the interview.
