During zoning deliberations the board approved a conditional-use permit for a monopole telecommunications tower at 781 Mundy Mills Road — staff said the tower would improve service in an underserved area and recommended approval with tree-replanting conditions. Commissioner Allen moved to approve the conditional use with advisory-group conditions and the motion passed.
