The Campbell County Board of Commissioners voted Aug. 3 to authorize the county mayor to retain a qualified engineering firm for the airport improvement initiative at Colonel Tommy C. Stiner Airfield. The motion, made by Commissioner Scott Stanfield and seconded by Commissioner David Adkins, passed by roll call with nine ayes and six absent.
