On first reading the Belle Meade Commission approved Ordinance 2026-1, which would adopt the 2024 International Residential Code and replace the existing 2018 code. Mary San Diego (speaker 12) explained the city is required to adopt updated model codes within a specified year range and that the proposed ordinance includes all appendices.
