The School Committee authorized an RFP for renovating four restrooms at Smithfield High School, a motion moved by Jessica Sala and seconded by Dr. Ashley Hogan that passed 4‑0. Mr. Mencucci briefed the committee: bidders must have at least five years’ experience on similar projects, attend a mandatory pre‑bid site visit, and adhere to safety, legal and diversity requirements. The project timetable anticipates completion by February 2027 and work will be scheduled after school with no planned overtime shifts.
