Building codes staff asked the committee to forward an ordinance (2026-12) correcting two technical design values in the municipal code'ground snow load and wind speed parameters that were transcribed incorrectly when the city adopted the International Residential Code. Greg Story, the building codes director, said the change is not intended to alter code policy but to give developers accurate design information.
