Public Works completes 45 projects in 3rd-gen update; department wins APWA accreditation
Seminole County Public Works reported progress on the third-generation infrastructure-sales-tax program (down to 45 active projects) and received American Public Works Association accreditation, one of a limited number of accredited agencies in the state and nation.

Public Works Director Tanya Allure told the board that project work completed in the past six months reduced the outstanding 3rd-gen program list from 60 to 45 projects, with multiple projects under construction or nearing completion. She highlighted grants and design milestones: a $3.4 million FDOT award for North Street improvements, a $10 million NRCS grant for canal work, and ongoing Orange Boulevard right-of-way work.
