Staff presented Item 6, a request to reduce the rear-yard setback from 20 feet to 10 feet at 504 Power Road to permit converting part of a detached garage into a 434 sq ft accessory dwelling unit (ADU). Applicant Samantha Tronalone explained the garage is existing and said the conversion is intended "for my partner's mother because she can't live alone anymore." The applicant said there would be no exterior renovations and emphasized the structure pre-existed the request.
