Board votes down detachment request for Parcel No. 59111522620

The board discussed a petition to detach Parcel No. 59111522620 and ultimately voted it down during the Sept. 8 meeting. Josh Karmasin said he did not "necessarily want to get rid of land," adding that "the land the village has is what it is," and board members raised concerns that approving detachment could set an undesirable precedent for similar future requests. Kayla Simanovski said she would contact the property owner after the Open Book/Board of Review meetings to clarify the tax questions raised during discussion.
