Parowan approves Phase I contract with Orton Excavating for spring redevelopment ($15,030)
Council authorized a Phase I CMGC contract with Orton Excavating for exploratory and design-participation work on the spring redevelopment project, not to exceed $15,030. Phase II reconstruction will be addressed under a future amendment.

City Manager Dan Jessen told the council that when the Request for Proposals was previously awarded to Orton Excavating, the motion did not include authorization to execute a formal contract. He presented a Phase I CMGC (Construction Manager/General Contractor) contract intended for exploratory work at the spring and participation in design engineering, with a not-to-exceed amount of $15,030.
