The Grant County Conservation, Sanitation & Zoning Committee on Sept. 3 recommended approval of a conditional use permit allowing Rutkowski Brothers Land LLC to continue nonmetallic mining across three parcels totaling about 40 acres in Ellenboro Township. Ellenboro Township approved the application on Aug. 5, 2026, and the township attached two conditions: a 15-mph speed limit and use of dust control measures as necessary.
