County planning staff told the board the draft ordinance borrows EPD requirements and adds county needs for information and monitoring. "All wells within a 1 mile radius shall be monitored for water quality using EPD methods," Cassie said while explaining the water provisions, and she added that smart water meters would be required to provide county records of usage.
