The board approved a resolution authorizing the superintendent to request participation in the Tennessee state retirement system's 457(b) program. Mr. Golden said the district currently has low participation in the existing 457 plan (double‑digit users) and that feedback about the state contractor, Empower, has been positive; the recommended product includes both Roth and traditional account options.
