The Smithfield School Committee approved the district's updated Dress Code Policy JICA on second reading at its Aug. 21 meeting. Mrs. Jessica Sala moved to adopt the policy with the addition that hats cannot be worn; Mrs. Amanda Fafard seconded the motion, which passed 5-0.
