Board hears proposal for Black Hawk College program as a "school within a school"

Principal Mrs. Tidwell described a proposal from Black Hawk College to operate a program at the Kewanee Outreach Center that would allow KHS students to complete their high school diplomas in a smaller setting while remaining KHS students. She said there would be no cost to the district, partners would include YSB counseling services and Job Corps would be available to students. "They would still be KHS students and it would be a 'school within a school,'" Tidwell said.
