The Barrington Fire Department is hosting a supply drive throughout September to benefit the Barrington Township Food Pantry, officials said. Donations may be dropped off at the Barrington Public Safety Facility, 400 North Northwest Highway.
“Some of the items we're looking for are paper goods, cleaning and household supplies, and personal care items,” said Megan Baumgartner, executive assistant for the Barrington Fire Department. Baumgartner spoke alongside Firefighter Paramedic Jim Goodwin at the Barrington Township Food Pantry to announce the drive.
The department solicited community donations to support the food pantry’s work serving local residents. “Together, we can make a difference in our community,” Baumgartner said.
The drive runs throughout the month of September. Organizers thanked community members in advance for their support.
