The event honored construction crews and designers while officials signed a ceremonial beam and spoke about the project’s significance. A construction representative said the job logged more than 25,000 person-hours and kept a strong safety record despite “110 degrees” on some days and “negative 10” on others. “They still showed up to work on this job,” the construction representative said.
