The Angola Planning Commission on Oct. 13 adopted a resolution finding that an amended tax increment financing (TIF) plan for the Angola Redevelopment Commission is consistent with the City of Angola comprehensive plan and approved the amended plan as presented, with a recommendation to the city council.
Planning staff explained the amended plan expands and refines the city’s existing TIF district rather than creating a new district, removes some single-family residential parcels at the advice of the city’s financial consultant, and adds right-of-way and commercial parcels to increase the area that can be used for infrastructure improvements and development incentives. Staff described the packet materials as including a declaratory resolution, a parcel listing and legal descriptions, and about 44 pages of attachments with maps and parcel identifiers.
