Denton County commissioners approve appointments to multiple local boards

The Denton County Commissioners Court approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to local boards and authorities during its meeting. Commissioners moved and seconded nominations and carried each motion by voice vote.
The appointments filled seats on the Denton Central Appraisal District (DCAD) board, Flower Mound Terrace No. 1 board, Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) board, Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) board, Lake Ray Roberts Planning and Zoning Board and the county Public Health Advisory Board. Each appointment was for a two-year term as stated during the meeting.
The court voted to nominate Ann Pumacall (Place 4) and Mike Henifer (Place 7) to the Denton Central Appraisal District board of directors. Commissioner Mitchell moved the nomination; Commissioner Falconer seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners appointed Larry Lipscomb and David Johnson to the Flower Mound Terrace No. 1 Board for two-year terms. Commissioner Mitchell moved the appointments; Commissioner Williams seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The court appointed Jody Gonzales and Judge NDE to the Denton County Transportation Authority board of directors for two-year terms. Commissioner Mitchell moved the appointments; Commissioner Falconer seconded. The motion carried.
Isabel Hernandez was reappointed to the MHMR board for a two-year term. Commissioner Williams moved the reappointment; Commissioner Mitchell seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
Nathan Brown and Frank Kudelak were reappointed to the Lake Ray Roberts Planning and Zoning Board for two-year terms. Commissioner Williams moved the reappointments; Commissioner Mitchell seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The court appointed Courtney (transcript: “Kari or Carr”) to the Public Health Advisory Board for a two-year term. Commissioner Williams moved the appointment; Commissioner Edmonson seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The court recorded that no action was taken on agenda items 15(a) and 15(b). With no further business, the court adjourned.
