The DuPage County Human Services Committee approved a series of appropriations, contract renewals and intergovernmental agreements at its meeting, including new and increased funding for senior services, energy assistance and homelessness programs.
The committee voted to accept and appropriate $40,250 for the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies Employment Barrier Reduction pilot program (FIR160125) and to establish the senior services budget with acceptance and appropriation of $8,130,284 from the Aging Program Coordination Unit (FIR15525). Members also approved a modification of Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program funding not to exceed $171,394 (FIR15725) and an increase in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) HHS grant from $3,487,312 to $4,050,265, an increase of $562,953 (FIR15825).
Separately, the committee approved a purchase order renewal for the homeless management information system to WellSky Corporation for up to $64,028.90 (HSP4625), an amendment to the county contract with DuPage Federation for Human Services Reform Language Access Resource Center increasing that contract by $8,500 to a total not to exceed $38,499 (HSCO125), and an intergovernmental agreement…
