Local singer dedicates original song to Cochise County Sheriff—s Assist Team

Joni Harms used the public-comment portion of the meeting to thank the Cochise County Sheriff—s Assist Team for volunteer services such as funeral escorts for veterans and to perform an original song titled "The Heart Behind the Badge." Harms described the group—s service as broad and said it "does not go unnoticed." Harms then dedicated a song she wrote to the team and sang lyrics praising members who "bravely take the challenge each and every day" and said "the heart behind the badge is still beating strong." No formal action, vote, or staff direction related to the Sheriff's Assist Team was recorded in the transcript.
