Weld County joins HGACBuy cooperative purchasing program

Weld County commissioners on Sept. 24 approved membership in the Houston-Galveston Area Council cooperative purchasing program (HGACBuy) and authorized the chair to sign the interlocal contract. Toby Taylor from Purchasing said Weld County code allows purchases from cooperatives and that the Purchasing Division recommends membership because HGACBuy offers products at discounted rates that may benefit county departments. "Attach is a local interlocal contract to become a member of HGAC Buy, which will allow departments to consider this source and utilize discounted products," Taylor said. The board approved the resolution by voice vote.
