Morris County reports bridge replacements and road resurfacing projects this fall
Deputy Director Steven Shaw said bids were taken Sept. 23 for a Gaston Road bridge replacement in Morris Township, a Jefferson Township timber span will be advertised and replaced with a concrete 17-foot span, and resurfacing work on Sussex Turnpike continues.

Deputy Director Steven Shaw reported at the Sept. 24 work session that bids were taken Sept. 23 for replacement of a small bridge on Gaston Road in Morris Township and that "that work will begin later this fall." He said the county will advertise within the next week for a project to replace a 17-foot timber bridge on Bridal Scribe Drive in Jefferson Township with a concrete span. Shaw also said resurfacing of Sussex Turnpike in Morris Township and Randolph continues.
