Court approves revised sheriff’s fee schedule under Property Code chapter 24B; new eviction-related charges set
Hardin County Commissioners Court approved an amendment to the fiscal 2026 schedule of sheriff and constable fees to add charges required by Property Code chapter 24B: $200 for orders to remove persons occupying a dwelling and $150 per hour for additional law-enforcement assistance, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

The Hardin County Commissioners Court on Sept. 23 approved an amendment to the fiscal year 2026 sheriff’s and constables’ fee schedule adding fees required by Property Code chapter 24B. The change implements new charges that will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
