Decatur County approves easement for solar project's electrical line; industrial park utility updates offered
At its Sept. 23 meeting the Decatur County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved an easement for a 25-foot underground electrical line for a 156-acre solar project at the Decatur County Industrial Park, and heard updates on water, gas and cleanup work at the park.

On Sept. 23, 2014 the Decatur County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved an easement for a 25-foot underground electrical line at the Decatur County Industrial Park to serve a proposed 156-acre solar project, contingent on approval by the Georgia Department of Transportation. Rick McCaskill, executive director of the Development Authority, described the project and its expected revenue.
