Anderson estimated a planning‑level cost of about $5,000,000 to build the interim configuration and said Tarrant County crews and construction forces could potentially reduce the cost to roughly $3,500,000.
The package also contemplates developer participation: Anderson said the LaPrelle plat and other nearby developers have obligations or negotiated commitments on turn lanes and intersections, and that the city is discussing proportional contributions and timing. Anderson emphasized that right‑of‑way negotiations, utility relocations (including a large gas line in one segment), and coordination with TxDOT for FM 156 work will affect schedule and final price.
