Maple Crest nursing home asks Struthers officials to bar candidate solicitation without approval

Mayor Patrick read a letter dated Aug. 28, 2025, from Clinton Accel, administrator of Maple Crest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, asking the city to advise current and future election candidates that the facility does not permit solicitation of residents without prior approval from facility administration. The letter — introduced as a communications item — asked officials to “please advise any current and or future candidates of this policy.”
