School panel approves RFPs for districtwide demographic and facilities condition studies

The Finance Committee on Tuesday approved advertising two requests for proposals to fund a districtwide demographic (enrollment) study and a comprehensive facilities condition study covering elementary and middle schools, district offices, parts of the stadium and grounds. The committee authorized the administration to advertise the RFPs and return results in time to inform the budget process.

The studies, the administration said, are intended to update the district's long-term capital plan by providing a point-in-time assessment of building condition and a 10- to 15-year project staging recommendation.
