Board approves several routine easement vacates and consent items

Hillsborough County commissioners approved multiple routine vacation petitions during the Sept. 9 land use meeting that will remove portions of recorded public utility easements to resolve existing roof overhangs or pools and to enable permitted pool construction. County staff reported that reviewing departments and utility providers raised no objections to the petitions but noted that an abandoned force main exists in one vacated area and petitioners may need to cut and cap it during pool construction. The items approved were: - C1 (V250001) — Petition by Victor Martinez and Nereda Delgado to vacate approximately 1,068 square feet of public utility easement at 9024 Hogans Bend to cure an encroaching roof overhang and allow a new pool; staff noted an abandoned force main in the area. - C2 (V25-0003) — Petition by Osmel Martinez to vacate approximately 669.46 square feet at 6819 Robbinswood Lane to resolve an encroachment by a previously constructed pool and an open code-enforcement case; resolution will require a variance application for setback relief. - C3 (V25006) — Petition by Jessica and Giovanni Calderon to vacate approximately 1,276 square feet at 4099 Robin Way to permit a rear-yard swimming pool. Each item was presented by Facilities Management and Real Estate Services and approved by voice vote (motions carried unanimously).
