Consultant: Amherst County reassessment shows large increases; appeals process outlined
An appraiser hired for Amherst County described average residential assessment increases of about 80 percent and outlined a three-step appeals process with hearings expected to be complete by Dec. 1.

Fred Pearson, an appraiser working with Vision Government Solutions, told the Amherst County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 21 that residential property values in the county showed large increases in the 2025 reassessment and described how property owners can appeal.
