On Oct. 21 the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted 5‑0 to approve using up to $2,750,000 of the county’s Measure A affordable‑housing bond commitment to acquire the site at 5885 Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Jose. The purchase will allow the county to ground‑lease the land back to the nonprofit project sponsor, Charities Housing, which has already secured other financing.
