Jefferson County shifts stance to back delay in state algorithm-transparency law

County officials voted to change Jefferson County's position from opposed to support for a bill that delays implementation of a recent state law on algorithmic systems, citing a late amendment that pushes the effective date to June 2026 and gives more time for rulemaking and negotiation.
